Our commitment
We comply with environmental law and our clients' site rules, prevent pollution, manage waste responsibly, protect drainage and keep nuisance to a minimum. Like safety, it comes down to planning and the everyday habits of our teams.
Our Director, Ben Duffy, holds overall responsibility, with day-to-day controls, waste records and inspections run by our health and safety co-ordinator and recorded in Procore.
Protecting water and land
- Fuels, oils and chemicals stored in bunded containers, with COSHH assessments for every substance
- Concrete washout captured and disposed of properly
- Silt and runoff from excavations managed with pumps, settlement areas or filtration
- Spill kits on every job, and every operative knows the drill: stop it, contain it, protect the drains, report it
- Extra controls near waterways, docks and yards with interceptors
Waste and materials
- We hold our own Waste Carrier Licence and work with licensed partners for skips, muck-away and specialist disposal
- Waste segregated on site into inert, recyclable, general and hazardous streams
- Transfer notes and disposal records kept for audit and for you
- Low-carbon and recycled materials chosen where they meet the specification
Plant and carbon
- Modern, lower-emission plant wherever possible, including Stage V machinery and Euro 6 vehicles
- Anti-idling rules and well-maintained plant to cut fuel use
- Emissions measured across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 against a 2024 baseline and reviewed every year
- A Carbon Reduction Plan working towards net zero by 2050, in line with UK Government targets
