Enabling works for commercial and industrial sites

Send your brief

Most delays on a build start before it does. Old structures, overgrown boundaries, live services and poor access all need dealing with first.

We clear those early obstacles on industrial and commercial sites through clear planning and hands-on delivery, so the main works can start on time.

  • Demolition through to handover

In Scunthorpe we demolished sections of a steel manufacturer's building, cleared the site and prepared the ground for new piles, then carried on with 500m² of new slabs ahead of a crane installation.

  • Reclaiming usable space

At a Rochdale builders merchant we removed an oversized retaining wall, cleared the old fence line and vegetation, and concreted the ground we reclaimed.

  • Planned for live sites

Traffic management, hoarding and phasing are planned up front so your operation keeps running while we work.

  • No handover gap

The team that clears the site can stay on for the groundworks, drainage and concrete that follow.

Concrete yard repairs and drainage upgrades
All the feedback we've had from site has been really positive. I've also got to give credit for how you have managed some of the on-site issues that required making design changes on the fly. This showed great pragmatism. As always, it's a pleasure working with PKB on this project.

Common questions

Can't see your question? Call us or send your brief and we'll come back to you.

Send your brief
Do you act as the main contractor or subcontract?

We typically act as Principal Contractor, responsible for planning, coordination and delivery on site. You get one point of contact from first assessment to completion. If a project needs specialist input, we manage it as part of the overall package.

Can you carry out the works while our site stays open?

Yes, and most of our work is done that way. We phase the works so vehicle routes, deliveries and pedestrian access stay clear, agree the sequence with your site team before we start, and keep the working area swept and separated throughout.

What happens at a free site survey?

We walk the site with you and assess ground conditions, drainage, loading and access. You get a safety and compliance review, a budget and cost analysis, a phasing and maintenance plan, and recommendations specific to your site. There is no obligation to proceed.

Do you only work on commercial sites?

Yes. We work only on commercial and industrial sites: external concrete yards, service areas and access routes at recycling facilities, ports, manufacturing plants, transport depots and builders merchants. We do not take on domestic or small private works.

Got a yard that's holding you back?

Tell us what's happening on site. We'll review your brief and, if it's a good fit, arrange a free site survey.
