The problem

A steel manufacturer needed more crane capacity. To fit an external crane system, parts of the existing building had to come down first, on a site that stayed live.

02

What we did

  • Demolition of the relevant building sections
  • Site clearance and ground preparation for the new pile positions
  • 500m² of new concrete slabs across the external area
  • Steel beam installed onto the piles to form the crane runway
  • End of the internal building shuttered off

The result

The site was handed over fully prepared for the crane installation, with every stage from demolition onwards delivered by PKB in the right sequence.

It was a complex job on a live site and your team handled it well from start to finish. Really happy with how it all came together and the site was handed over exactly as we needed it.
