Yard solutions for commercial and industrial sites

Send your brief

Downtime is costly, so we plan every yard project to keep your site operational. Our concrete laying teams handle everything from planning and laying new yards to repairs and routine maintenance.

A yard redevelopment often involves more than concrete. We can demolish old buildings, install new drainage, and add racking, line marking, kerbing, fencing and access roads, all as one project.

Why clients choose us for this work

The same people survey, plan and build your job, and your site keeps running while we do it.

  • The whole yard, one contractor

Drainage, demolition, concrete, kerbing, line marking, fencing and access roads are planned and delivered together, not split between trades.

  • Your yard stays open

In London we phased a 1,000m² builders merchant yard into sections, and the merchant did not lose a day of trading.

  • Planned before we break ground

In-house pre-construction planning sets the phasing and sequence before any concrete is broken out.

  • There after handover

Maintenance is part of what we offer, so the yard has a contractor who already knows it.

Common questions

Can't see your question? Call us or send your brief and we'll come back to you.

Send your brief
How thick should a concrete yard be for HGV traffic?

For yards handling HGVs and heavy plant, we typically specify a minimum of 200mm reinforced concrete with A252 mesh. The exact specification depends on your vehicle weights, ground conditions and how the yard is used, so we survey every site and design the slab to suit.

Can you concrete our yard while we stay operational?

Yes, this is what we specialise in. We phase every concreting programme into sections so you keep access to parts of the yard at all times, and plan it around your day to day operations. We have been concreting on live industrial sites for over 40 years.

How long does it take to concrete a commercial yard?

A typical commercial yard takes two to six weeks depending on size and scope. We give you a fixed programme before work starts and phase all pours around your operations so the yard stays accessible.

How much does a yard project cost?

Cost depends on scope, ground conditions and access. We survey for free and give you a fixed price before work starts.

Do you cover emergency repairs?

Yes. We respond to urgent external concrete repairs where safety or operations are at risk. We assess quickly and carry out a temporary or permanent repair depending on how serious the problem is. The priority is making the area safe and usable again.
